Hello everyone!

Today I’m posting Part 3 of my Christmas Jazz Blues in Bb: the second solo chorus… and this one is presented in the new 16:9 format, which I’ll be using from now on for my tabs videos here on Patreon.

I tested this format with the Swingin’ G Shuffle full video and your feedback was clear: 16:9 is easier to study, cleaner, and more comfortable both on desktop and on mobile (especially in landscape mode).
So thanks for the input, this is the new standard going forward.

Back to the music!

This chorus keeps a strong jazzy flavor, but the track also builds up in energy:
the horn section comes in, you’ll hear piano and Hammond, and the drums feel more driving and steady.

What’s happening in this solo

Just like the previous (jazzy) solo chorus:

Bars 1–6 are very bluesy, built with Major & Minor Pentatonics (plus the usual blues colors).
Bars 7–10 shift into a more inside approach, using arpeggios to outline the faster harmonic movement.
The final turnaround (last 2 bars) brings it back to a more traditional blues phrasing to close the chorus with authority.
