Hello everyone!
Today I’m posting a new Easy Solo, and this time it’s a funky minor blues solo in A minor, played over a 12-Bar Minor Blues at 108 BPM.
I wrote this solo specifically to fit Weekly Blues Rhythm 96 (you can check the rhythm lesson here): https://www.patreon.com/posts/video-tabs-blues-71194374
Musically it’s very straightforward, but it sounds rich because it moves across the neck. The first part is centered around the 1st Extended Box of the Blues scale, then in the second part I shift to the 4th Extended Box, keeping the same vibe while changing register and position. It’s a great way to practice connecting areas of the fretboard without turning it into an “exercise”.
To make it easier to learn, I also included two different camera angles for the exact same solo, so you can clearly see what both hands are doing.
Have fun with it, lock in with the groove, and keep the phrasing tight and funky!
