Here’s the first part of the solo for Low End Voodoo. This is a very groovy solo, built to match the raw attitude and deep pulse of the tune. In this first section, I’m mainly using the E Blues Scale across all positions, with the addition of a major 2nd in the first part over the E7#9 chord to bring in a bit more color and movement. Then, when the harmony shifts to A, I move into a mix of A Mixolydian and the A Blues Scale, which gives that section a different flavor while still keeping the solo connected to the overall groove of the track.
