Hello everyone!
Today I’m posting the first video of a new two-part mini lesson: three Blues intros for a slow 12/8, 12-bar blues in A.
Each intro starts before bar 1 (with a little pickup / anacrusis) and then lands right into the first A7 bar, filling that space in a musical way.
That detail matters a lot, because the way you start sets everything: the feel, the timing, and the confidence of the whole solo. A good intro makes the listener instantly believe what you’re about to play, even if what follows is simple.
In Part 1 you’ll get Intro 1, 2 & 3, all designed to be easy to learn but very effective in a real slow blues situation.
