Chord Inversions are chords in which the notes have changed position, and the root of the chord is no longer the bass note. In particular, there are three different inversions for the dominant 7th chord:
1st Inversion: 3rd in the bass
2nd Inversion: 5th in the bass
3rd Inversion: 7th in the bass
In this video, I play a funk-blues rhythm pattern over a standard 12-Bar Blues progression in A, using chord inversions built on the 1st set of strings (strings 1, 2, 3, and 4).
