THE STORY
Texas shuffle energy with a jazzy turnaround
Sixth Street Shuffle is a vibrant 12-bar blues in E with a Texas-inspired theme and two energetic solo choruses. The opening language centers on the open Blues-scale box, adding the major third over E7 for a stronger chord connection. At the turnaround, a II-V movement replaces the traditional V-IV change and adds a subtle jazz color. Expressive bends, fast runs, and dynamic phrasing drive the piece toward the returning theme and finale.
