THE STORY
C minor blues settled deep inside a funk pocket
Minor Pocket is a funk-blues solo in C minor set against a three-chord progression of Cm7, Eb, and F. The lead combines the soulful weight of the Blues scale with the brighter sixth and ninth colors of Dorian mode. Syncopated riffs, compact licks, and dynamic accents stay closely tied to the rhythm section, allowing the modal detail to enrich the harmony without disturbing the deep, steady pocket.
