Hello everyone!
Just uploaded a brand new lick that’s a great workout for both economy picking and alternate picking.
It starts with a 3-octave A minor arpeggio, played with economy picking and laid out in a flowing sequence of 16th notes – super fun and challenging to get clean at speed.
The second half shifts gears with some 16th-note triplets, running through the 5th, 4th, and 3rd boxes of the A minor blues scale. Lots of cool phrasing to explore here.
You’ll see the lick played at 90 bpm and also slowed down to 60 bpm, with two different camera angles: front view and top view, so you can catch all the picking details.
🔜 Backing track drops tomorrow,
🧠 And this weekend I’ll post a full breakdown of the arpeggio with tips on how to nail the economy picking.
Hope you dig it – let me know how it goes for you!
