THE STORY
From restrained phrasing into richer lines
Twice Around is a 12-bar blues in A with a classic, expressive lead approach. The first chorus remains simple and spacious, while the second increases intensity through faster phrases, stronger rhythmic movement, and a wider melodic range. The solo blends the A Blues scale and A major pentatonic with short arpeggio figures and sixth-based Mixolydian double-stops. The gradual increase in density creates development without losing the conversational feel.
