Here’s a solo played over an uptempo 24-Bar Shuffle Blues in G at 130 BPM. The cool thing about this progression is the 24-bar structure: it’s basically a classic 12-bar blues, but with each chord lasting twice as long. That extra space makes the groove feel bigger and gives you time to really “sit” on every change instead of rushing through it. For the solo I’m using a mix of minor and major pentatonic, keeping the licks simple but choosing them so they land nicely and lock into each chord of the progression. The goal here isn’t speed or complexity: it’s to play phrases that feel like they belong on every chord while keeping the shuffle groove strong from start to finish. Tabs and backing track are included as usual. Have fun with it… and pay attention to the timing: at 130 BPM, the best solos are the ones that stay relaxed and groove hard!
